This reduction enables the Var 2 stove to be connected to gas bottles with a 3/8" thread, for example Meva 2kg.
It is possible to purchase a reducer for the VAR 2 cooker, which allows it to be connected to bombs with a 3/8" thread, for example MEVA 2kg. The reducer is first screwed onto the cooker, and then the whole set on a large bomb. The bomb removal is done in the opposite order, i.e. first unscrew the entire set from the bomb, then unscrew the reduction from the cooker.
After connecting the VAR 2 cooker to a large bomb, it is necessary to regulate the flame to a lower power during operation, because the pressure in these bombs is several times higher than in the butane canisters. The point is that if the flames "overwhelm" the vessel, cooking will not speed up much and gas consumption will increase significantly.
This remark applies in general, as it is always worthwhile to regulate the performance of the cooker. This is high in the VAR 2 cooker in order to cook even on a cold, exhausted bomb, then it only opens to full power. Less powerful stoves work at full capacity all the time, you can no longer increase the power, and they stop working when the bomb is cold.
