Retractable fall arrester in an aluminum case with steel cable, solid anchor eye and swivel carabiner equipped with a "rescue/recovery" mechanism that allows for lifting and lowering.
After an arrested fall, or if the user is unable to get out of the bottom of the shaft, etc., the recovery mechanism can be easily operated by a second person to lift or lower the injured person to a safe place.
