Arboristic harness SHERMAN is the result of long-term development in cooperation with professionals in the field of tree climbing. It is an extremely comfortable and robust harness, made of high-quality European materials for maximum durability and long life of the product even in the most demanding professional use. Since the demands and techniques of arborists are very individual, we paid special attention to the flexibility of the harness and the variability of all
its elements during different climbing and positioning techniques. A significant advantage of the product is its favorable weight, especially given the rich equipment of the seat, the number of functional details and connecting elements.
At first glance, the harness impresses with its extra wide ergonomically shaped padding at the waist and panties. This ensures a comfortable fit, allows for a remarkably large range of motion and ensures comfort even during all-day movement in the tree. The force acting on the body is distributed in the waist by means of 4 supporting straps. The main straps of the seat (waist, legs) are fitted with sophisticated aluminum quick-fasteners, for easy and intuitive handling, even when wearing work gloves.
SHERMAN offers enough elements for anchoring and positioning: two rope bridges of different lengths (both are part of the harness), are adjustable in length, one is with an aluminum ring. Each of the ends of the rope bridge is
fixed in a stainless steel D-ring, always in a separate hole. Optimized for 11mm static ropes. The length of the bridges can be easily adjusted using the knots at the end of the ropes. Both rope bridges are easily replaceable, in case of damage or excessive wear. The harness also has two positioning connection points (EN 358) on the sides of the harness.
The great advantage of the seat is the number of points for attaching the material and their maximum variability. On both sides there is a slot for connecting a large carry-tool carabiner. Also 3 classic shaped material loops.
Hole for Velcro (included in the delivery), from which it is possible to create additional material loops according to the individual needs of each user. In the center of the lumbar part there is a strap (with an aluminum hook) for fixing the first aid kit (not part of the seat) and a strap for connecting the shoulders (for fixing the chest blocker). The attachment points are also complemented by 4 loops with a steel ring for attaching, for example, a chainsaw. The pants are connected to the belt in the back with an adjustable elastic strap, made of a robust and very durable material. The ergonomics of the harness can be further adjusted with adjustable straps >(width 20 mm), which can be used to pull the pants on the sides closer to the belt and thus fine-tune the optimal angle between the pants and the belt for comfortable hanging in the rope. These straps are replaceable, in case of damage or wear.
SHERMAN and SKILL TREE arborist harnesses are manufactured in Europe of those of the highest quality materials for maximum longevity. Worn parts can be replaced as part of warranty and post-warranty service.
