PETZL Sum'Tec 2017 is the logical outcome of the development in the field of ice axes for classic mountaineering. Combines the advantages of a technical and classic climbing ice ax. The PETZL Sum'Tec is light and versatile, equipped with an adjustable TRIGREST hand rest and an interchangeable ALPIX tip. The handle is made of extruded aluminum and is curved at the top. This curvature is important when climbing steep terrains and protects the hands from bruising. The tip of the ice ax (width 3.5 mm) effectively penetrates the ice and guarantees a firm grip in the rock. It is equipped with a unique fastening system that enables quick and trouble-free tip replacement. It comes in 52cm hammer, 52cm blade and 59cm blade variants.
