Product detailed description
Universal ice ax designed for technical alpinism and ice climbing. Its balance and ICE tip allow for a solid jam in any type of ice. TRIGREST and GRIPREST supports facilitate handling and comfort in every situation. They provide a more effective grip in difficult sections. The QUARK ice ax is a fully modular construction and easily adapts to technical, diverse terrain: snow couloirs, corners, north faces, glaciers.
Versatility:
- The curved handle under the head and the GRIPREST QUARK rest on the underside protect the hands from rubbing against the ice
- The handle has a steel tip on the lower end and is straight enough for use in piolet-canne mode
- The handle is shaped with hydroform technology for optimal grip in the middle
- Precisely shaped handle made of two materials ensures a good grip and insulates against the cold
- The TRIGREST QUARK and GRIPREST QUARK footrests improve support in difficult passages
- 550 g with hammer or shovel PANNE, MARTEAU
Effective jam in any type of ice:
- The ICE tip tapers to the tip (3.3 mm) and is universal for all conditions: snow, ice and mixes
- A MASSELOTTE weight can be used on the spikes to adjust the weight and improve inertia when stuck
- The fully modular design of the head allows you to adapt the technical elements of the ice ax
