The NOMIC ice ax sets the standard for ice climbing. It is perfectly balanced, equipped with weights and offers an exceptional swing. The new PURE'ICE spikes ensure effective jamming in any type of ice. The ice ax shape and the double handle allow for multiple grip modes and a stable change of hands. The grip is comfortable thanks to the ergonomic handle and the adjustable GRIPREST hand rest. The minimalist hammer protects the head and allows the user to hammer in staples. The ice ax is fully modular and can be adapted to the terrain.
Effectively stuck in any type of ice:
- The perfect shape and balance of the ice ax provide exceptional swing
- Thanks to the curve under the head, it is possible to use the ice ax for hooking
- The PUR'ICE tip tapers to the tip (3 mm) and offers excellent passage in any type of ice, including the hardest. It is serrated on the top to offer stable support when used upside down
- Inertia and swing quality are optimized with MASSELOTTE weights
Comfortable handle, designed for technical ice climbing:
Multiple ways to grip and stable change of hands thanks to the double handle (lower and higher) the lower handle is offset from the axis to protect the hand from contact with ice and to ensure more comfort when hanging
The top handle is molded made of two materials that offer excellent grip and insulation against the cold
Handle shaped with hydroform technology provides optimal grip in the middle
Building block construction:
The fully modular design of the head allows the adjustment of the technical elements of the ice ax
Compatible with Petzl accessories: ICE, DRY, PUR´DRY tips, PANNE, MARTEAU shovel and hammer
Comes with a MINI MARTEAU mini hammer that protects the head and allows you to hammer in staples
Without accessories, the ice ax is lighter for drytooling (only 500 g)
The GRIPREST NOMIC support is rotatable and adjustable to three positions, adapts to all types of palm, even when wearing gloves
The bottom has a stainless steel tip that improves support when used in piolet-canne mode
The connection hole on the lower steel tip is used to connect the elastic V-LINK anti-loss straps, not intended for the seat loop
The connection hole in the upper part of the plastic handle is used to connect the loops or the release loop
