RAD LINE 6 mm is an ultralight and compact line designed for ski mountaineering and freeride skiing. It is used for rescue, abseiling, or tying in when crossing glaciers in areas with crevasses. It is hyperstatic, flexible and has a rough surface that provides excellent grip and easy handling. It comes in two lengths: 30 and 60 meters.
Ultralight and compact:
- Only 22 grams per meter
- Light and compact, so it's easy to carry in your backpack
Special braid construction:
- Compatible with TIBLOC rope blocker and MICRO TRAXION pulley due to special braid of reinforced HMPE material
- Flexible line with rough braid for excellent handling and better speed control when abseiling and braking when catching a fall into a glacial crevasse
Hyperstatic:
- Static elongation of the line less than 2%, to facilitate and improve the efficiency of rescue maneuvers and also to eliminate the yo-yo effect when abseiling or catching a fall in a crevasse
- Allows the skier to link up to pass through the crack zone
