Product detailed description
A abseiling and belay brake with assisted braking, suitable for climbing walls strong>, but also into rocks. The PETZL GRIGRI 2019 abseiling and belay brake is light, compact and can be used with single ropes with a diameter of 8.5 - 11mm< /strong>. The assisted brake function increases comfort when belaying, holding a climber or catching a fall. The Ergonomic handle allows for easy and smooth triggering, which is also achieved by the progressive engagement of the cam. PETZL GRIGRI offers easy use both for belaying a first climber and for belaying a Top-rope.
The technique of feeding and retrieving the rope is the same for the PETZL GRIGRI 2019 safety device as for a classic safety device, i.e. both hands hold the rope; the fall is caught by pressing the hand on the free end of the rope. The assisted braking function is activated when the climber falls, the GRIGRI turns, tightens the rope, the cam rises and locks the rope. Holding the free end of the rope activates the cam. For this reason, it is primary to always hold the free end of the rope in your hand! Available in three colors.
