- compared to the DARK MACHINE ice ax, it is a bit longer, has a more curved handle , but the bottom part of the tip lacks a hole for attaching a carabiner or straps
- a large bend in the handle helps when jamming behind lumps of ice

- there is a hand rest in the lower part of the ice ax
- carbon gives the ice ax high rigidity, which significantly reduces vibrations
