The Turbochest is a revolutionary chest ascender equipped with two patented rotating rollers for smooth rope passage. These rollers not only maintain maximum efficiency but also significantly reduce wear on both the device and the rope. The toothed cam is equipped with special wear protection and features drainage holes that prevent the accumulation of mud, sand, or ice. To ensure maximum contact with the rope for efficiency, additional drainage holes are present along the rope passage path in the ascender body.
The reinforced ascender body and shaped attachment point reduce wear between the device and the connector caused by movement (especially when using steel carabiners). This also helps keep the ascender in the correct position relative to the body. The Turbochest is easy to operate even with gloves, thanks to a pull tab on the cam. The rotating rollers also allow the Turbochest to be used as a backup pulley for transporting lightweight loads up to 50 kg. However, this system must never be used for human rescue operations.
