OCÚN
Brand's website: OCÚNA Czech manufacturer specializing in equipment for sport climbing, mountaineering, and bouldering. The company’s history dates back to 1988, when founder Pavel Hendrych began sewing the first climbing harnesses using surplus parachutes. In 1992, the first climbing shoes were designed and produced under the Rock Pillars brand, introducing groundbreaking ideas that are still adopted by modern climbing shoe makers.
In 1998, a new brand called Ocún entered the market, adding a range of climbing gear to complement the climbing footwear. Thanks to its quality, functionality, and clean design, this gear has been gaining increasing popularity not only in the Czech Republic. In this field, the manufacturer has continued to introduce numerous innovative products and concepts—among them some of the very first crash pads. Ocún remains one of the leading producers, setting new trends in crash pad development.
